Wholistic Leadership Development

Transformative Change

The goal of a Wholistic Leadership Development program is to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to become effective and inspiring leaders who can make a positive impact in their communities

Truth Centered Transformation

HIMserve enables community leaders to acquire knowledge and skills in wholistic ministry so as to become effective agents of transformation.

Most of the communities, in the beginning, understand us to be an external source providing facilities to the communities, based on their need, which are normally found in NGOs. But after having truth centered transformation teaching on series, they then understand their vital role in the transformational process is to use their available resources for solving the problems of communities.

The community leaders understand that HIMserve is for capacity building of community groups and through their leadership, the whole society will be motivated to love their neighbour being salt and light. When communities begin to trust their leaders, who are showing concern towards the needy,  they start to become catalysts for the transformational processes.  It helps them to know the concern and love for God’s creation includes their communities.

Creation Care

Much of the suffering and injustice around the world is the direct result of environmental destruction – God created our environment to provide for His people.  Protecting creation allows it to thrive with natural disasters and changing weather patterns.

The adverse effects of climate change disrupt and destroy nature, deplete resources and threaten food security.  HIMserve’s partners take action to care for creation through a multifaceted, holistic approach. These approaches include a variety of activities to promote creation care, including:

        • Environmental education and awareness campaigns
        • Conservation and restoration projects
        • Energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives
        • Sustainable agriculture and food systems
        • Waste reduction and management programs
        • Climate action initiatives
        • Community-based environmental programs
        • Advocacy and policy work

Income Generation Project (IGP)

HIMserve offers training sessions on the value of food preservation, operating dehydrators powered by solar energy, and using other methods to increase the life of foods produced through this project. The project has a strong focus on improving household nutrition. However, in addition to household nutrition, excess dried vegetables (leafy vegetable, chilies and other vegetables) can be packaged and sold to large wholesale and retail shops in nearby cities, thereby increasing household incomes for households in the community.

This project is essential in helping people to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty by providing the necessary resources and support to those who need it most, empowering them to build a better future for themselves and their families.

Agriculture & Animal Husbandry

Farming God’s Way is not just a technology but a well-balanced biblical, management and technological solution for the agricultural domain, equipping the poor to come out of poverty with what God has put in their hands and revealing the fullness promised abundant life.

HIMserve offers training in how to grow vegetables in the fields as well in the greenhouses, giving interested individuals the opportunity to learn a profession and be able to go out into the work field, to be productive and self-sufficient.  Currently we have a young woman who has taken this position; she is learning the farm and greenhouse performance from the ground up.

The Kitchen Garden, Poultry farming and Fishery projects improve access to the water supply system of the Himalaya region. This is achieved through purchasing and installing a water pump for more irrigation to the garden. Once the water pump is installed and running, the water will be able to be stored in an overhead tank for use in the fishery projects, as well as the community gardens. As a result, better irrigation for farms will increase the production of vegetables, cereal crops, and fish for the region.

Community Development Projects

The goal of Community Development Projects is to enable local leaders mobilize and empower their Communities, especially vulnerable groups to meet their needs.  HIMserve has successfully implemented a variety of humanitarian and community development programs. These programs assist in the areas of food security, garden production, water and sanitation, child protection, HIV/AIDS, Covid-19 and more.

Self Help Group And Village Development Committee

HIMserve’s goal is to see Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Village Development Committees (VDCs) involved fully in the process of transformational change in the communities. Therefore, the partner community is motivated to form SHGs and VDCs in every target village and encourage them to play an important role in the community. Interested leaders and community members are trained and equipped to make them change agents in the process of transformational development.

HIMserve aims to have SHGs and VDCs in each work village equipping, empowering and training in the areas of leadership, management and networking. The empowerment of village level groups will indirectly benefit vast majority of people in the community. Community organized group build the capacity of communities and enable them to optimally utilize available resources. We are also creating awareness  of the need to work together for development by organizing themselves in SHG/VDC. The outcome enhances access to and control over financial resources.

Skill Development Project (Vocational)

HIMserve started a skill development project to empower individuals and communities to provide them with the tools and training they need to improve their livelihoods and reach their full potential. The goal of this project is to address the challenges faced by many people who lack the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s competitive job market.

By investing in skill development, we aim to create opportunities for people to improve their income, enhance their quality of life, and achieve financial stability. This project is driven by the belief that everyone should have access to the resources they need to reach their full potential and live a fulfilling life. By empowering individuals and communities through skill development, we aim to create a brighter future for all.
