HIMserve has expanded its reach across the Darjeeling Hills, Kalimpong, Dooars, Terai, and North East states, impacting over 100,000 plus Nepali-speaking communities in partnership.

A Brief History
We are on a mission to see Transformed communities!
The work of HIMserve began in Siliguri in 1998 under the leadership of Ms. Anne Herr, within an organization known as Himalayan Ministries. The founder of Himalayan Ministries, Dr. Cindy Perry, invited Anne to Siliguri, where she initiated a work that has continued to grow and impact lives to this day.
The early focus of HIMserve’s work was Community Development Project(CDP). Through this engagement, it became evident that there was a deep need to challenge and equip compassionate individuals and faith communities to be more socially responsive and actively involved in addressing the real needs of the people. Over time, what started as a community health initiative has grown into a vibrant humanitarian movement dedicated to holistic, sustainable transformation of lives and communities.
Registered under the West Bengal Societies Act in 2003, HIMserve has since expanded its reach across the Darjeeling Hills, Kalimpong, Dooars, Terai and North East states impacting over 1000 plus Nepali-speaking communities in partnership. Our heartbeat has always been to come alongside the individual locals and community-based organization (CBOs)believing that every person has dignity and a God-given potential to bring change in their surroundings.

Our mission is shaped by the belief that transformation flows best from within, when rooted in love, justice, and mutual respect.
In 2008–2009, HIMserve unified all its independent programs into a single team focused on wholistic sustainable community transformation. This integrated
model allows us to holistically support communities across spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and economic dimensions uplifting the broken, empowering the forgotten, and cultivating hope where there was once despair.
